High-end custom is decided in the section drawing, not the brochure. These four layers are held to specification on every IR-80 unit we ship.

Technical detail
The section, the hardware and the fixings — photographed, not rendered. This is the level of detail your drawing office specifies against and your site crew installs to, on every unit that leaves the line.
Profile cross-section
Multi-chamber 6063-T5 extrusion with a continuous PA66 thermal-break bar. The section is where stiffness, insulation and drainage are decided in one drawing — and the four values in the performance band above are read straight off it.

PA66 polyamide, continuous
EPDM, two replaceable lines
Concealed, positive slope

Hardware
Pre-fitted and function-checked on every sash before it leaves the line. Multi-point locking, key-operated handles and marine-grade sets are scheduled per project and listed in the hardware schedule that ships with the shop drawings.

Installation
Factory-assembled and pre-glazed, so the tolerance work is done under a roof. On site the build is a three-zone detail — air, insulation, weatherproofing — and every crate arrives with the install guide and the sealant schedule for that market.

Overview
Impact-rated windows are tested glazing systems whose laminated core holds shattered glass in place under projectile and pressure loads. IR-80 is configured for large-missile rating in Cat 3–5 wind zones, with a Miami-Dade NOA / FBC listing path, and cyclone options for AS 1170.2 specifications in Australia and the Pacific.
Aluminium impact windows and doors with a laminated core that holds shattered glass in place. Rated for large-missile impact, designed for Florida, the Caribbean, the Gulf Coast, and cyclone zones in Australia and the Pacific.

Material & craft
The layers held to specification on every IR-80 unit — the section drawing above, written out.

Laminated core
A 10–16 mm laminated IGU with the 0.38 SGP interlayer — shattered glass stays in place under projectile and pressure load.

Frame compression
The 75 mm thermal-break platform with a multi-point frame that keeps the sash compressed on every side, and a continuous gasket behind the impact rating.

Listing path
Large-missile Cat 3–5 per project test through PGT or an equivalent body; the Miami-Dade NOA / FBC route is coordinated before production, and the AS 1170.2 / AS 2208 configuration runs on the same frame.
What it's worth to you

The rating is on our test report for your sizes — the document the insurer and the authority both read.
Salt-fog hardware and powder-coat schedule on the same data sheet: the unit that survived the missile survives the salt.
One supplier across frame, glass and hardware — the 15-year warranty runs across the joint, not to it.
Where it is specified
The sites we build this system for, and what the schedule changes in each one.
Florida and the Gulf Coast
Miami-Dade NOA / FBC listing coordinated through PGT or equivalent.
Caribbean and Atlantic basins
Large-missile rating for exposed coastal elevations.
Australian east coast
AS 1170.2 wind-zone configuration with AS 2208 glass logic.
Coastal hospitality
Salt-fog schedule plus the same serviceable hardware as the standard range.
High-rise street levels
Laminated core doubles as the glass-break security layer.
