Read the section

High-end custom is decided in the section drawing, not the brochure. These four layers are held to specification on every AC-90 unit we ship.

01

6063-T5 multi-chamber frame

Extruded alloy with internal chambers for stiffness without weight.

02

PA66 thermal-break bar

Glued and bonded polyamide isolation, continuous across the build.

03

EPDM double gasket

Two replaceable compression lines for air and water tightness.

04

Hardware & fixing

Concealed fixing with continuous drainage.

Technical detail

The section, the hardware and the fixings — photographed, not rendered. This is the level of detail your drawing office specifies against and your site crew installs to, on every unit that leaves the line.

Hardware

Pre-fitted and function-checked on every sash before it leaves the line. Multi-point locking, key-operated handles and marine-grade sets are scheduled per project and listed in the hardware schedule that ships with the shop drawings.

Installation

Factory-assembled and pre-glazed, so the tolerance work is done under a roof. On site the build is a three-zone detail — air, insulation, weatherproofing — and every crate arrives with the install guide and the sealant schedule for that market.

Overview

Acoustic windows are specified to a measured figure rather than a style: asymmetric laminated glazing, sealed frame cavities and a dedicated acoustic gasket cut the sound that reaches the room. AC-90 is certified to Rw 45 dB — a 47 dB glazing unit in a dual-cavity frame — for arterial roads, airport radii and rail frontages.

Acoustic configurations pair asymmetric laminated glazing with a sealed dual-cavity frame and a dedicated acoustic gasket — the same recipe used in airport-adjacent residential projects, laboratory certified to Rw 45 dB with a 47 dB glazing unit.

The frame is a dual-cavity build and the glazing is asymmetric laminated — heavier pane on the outside, lighter on the inside, which is what breaks the resonance a matched pair would pass. Configured per position after a noise survey, quoted to the indoor target level, not to a catalogue figure.

Material & craft

The layers held to specification on every AC-90 unit — the section drawing above, written out.

Glazing unit

Glazing unit

A 47 dB laminated IGU with a 24–42 mm asymmetric core — the two different glass masses break the resonances a symmetric pane carries through.

Frame build

Frame build

A sealed dual-cavity frame with the dedicated acoustic gasket; airtightness Class 4 is part of the acoustic build, because an unsealed joint is a leak in the rating.

Certification

Certification

Rw 45 dB laboratory certified per EN ISO 10140-2 — the figure on the data sheet is the figure from the test report.

What it's worth to you

Panoramic fixed glazing installed across a modern house elevation

A certified number instead of a claim: the noise survey sets the figure, the glazing mass is tuned to it, the test report proves it.

It rides the 70/75 mm platform — the quiet elevation and the standard elevation share one frame line and one schedule.

A 70 dB arterial street lands under 25 dB at the sash with the certified configuration.

Where it is specified

The sites we build this system for, and what the schedule changes in each one.

Arterial road frontages

Typical 70 dB street traffic lands under 25 dB at the sash.

Airport radius

Asymmetric laminated core tuned to the dominant noise band.

Rail frontage

Sealed cavity plus acoustic gasket for low-frequency content.

City-centre apartments

High-rise street view without the street noise.

Hospitality lobbies

Open-plan rooms next to traffic — the glazing does the zoning.
